Philip Balikian 

Philip Balikian was born in Beirut Lebanon, grew up in Boston Massachussetts and currently lives in San Diego California. He is an orthopedic surgeon and passionate about art. He was inspired by Mr. Clancy's high school art history class to pursue many hours of doodling on Tufts University library cubby desks. He uses humor to elicit a connection and a smile from his art.  He enjoys art that engages the viewer and asks them to discover what the artist is thinking.
